(L)earn-a-bike Night at the Community Bicycle Center

Beginning March 2, 2011 each Wednesday, everyone gets a chance to help out at the center. Whether it is stripping down an old rusty wreck for recycling, or working on one that can be resold or given to someone in need as the occasion arises is only one opportunity.

Housekeeping, construction and mailing invitations and newsletters are also ways you can help.

New this year- Learn how to make adjustments and simple repairs on your bike. Starting with the “ABC Quick Check” each week, we’ll cover a different topic, spending 1/2 hour learning how to repair flats. adjust brakes and derailleurs, chain and parts lubrication, even truing your wheel so you have the best ride possible.

All volunteers attend a ½ hour orientation session on their first visit.  Pizza and juice are provided.
