Education
Of the three areas of focus in our mission statement, Education is listed first because we believe it is the key to resolving most previously irreconcilable differences between motorists and bicyclists.
More than that, though, is health of our children and seniors, the economy and the planet as we all want to leave this place better than we found it and create Smart Cyclistswhile we do it.
To address the need, we conduct clinics, classes, workshops and seminars for all ages and interests, throughout Washington County, focusing on under-served communities.
The Smart Cycling ProgramĀ®
This bicycle education program, as offered by the League of American Bicyclists, provides every rider the tools necessary to ride skillfully, carefully, safely, and with confidence on our streets and roads in Washington County. Kids and Parents, youth and adults of every age can and will benefit from the instruction available.
The WashCo BTC is privileged to have 5 active League Cycling Instructors among its members to guide you safely through the exercises and help you develop the mastery of the skills that may just save your life.
